Chaga tea

Chaga tea

Chaga [Inonotus obliquus], is known since the 16th century for its medicinal properties.
It is used in, among other countries, Russia, for treatment of cancer.

Tea made from chaga strengthens the immune system, lowers blood-sugar and cholesterol levels.

For a mug of tea, use about a tea-spoon of chaga. Let it infuse until the water is dark.
The tea is very mild, tastes of vanilla and forest. Sweeten with Stevia or honey.
The pieces can then be dried and used again, until they no longer color the water. Usually, they last for 3-4 cups of tea.
